Keurig Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Comes to Town

The Village at Taylor Pond exterior

Those of us already living and working here are well-versed in the many reasons to love the area. And word is getting out.

Our neighborhood will soon welcome the Massachusetts headquarters of Keurig Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR), as the company gathers up its 500+ employees scattered in Reading, Wakefield and Woburn to make one happy family in nearby Burlington.

The expansion of the company’s research and development facilities dovetails with its commitment to advancing sustainability practices through initiatives like its water stewardship program. According to a press release, “GMCR supports local and global communities by offsetting 100 percent of its direct greenhouse gas emissions, investing in sustainably-grown coffee, and donating at least five percent of its pre-tax profits to social and environmental projects.”

For several years running, Keurig has earned a spot among the state’s top places to work, according to an employee survey compiled by The Boston Globe. We think with the move to Burlington, the company’s employees can only get happier.
