Lexington Power Yoga touts a regular practice as a way to not only grow stronger and healthier, but also find relief from the stresses of daily life. Its schedule of unheated, warm, and hot yoga classes provide different levels of difficulty so that yogis of all backgrounds are able to find one that fits them perfectly.
If you're totally new to the practice, start by taking a four-week beginners' series. These classes lay out the basic poses and breathing techniques of yoga, allowing you plenty of time to get comfortable and individualized attention from the teacher. Then graduate to an unheated all-levels class, where you'll pick up the pace a bit, but still without the introduction of heat. The warm and hot yoga classes promise an extra challenge as the higher temperatures get your body sweating and the calories burning.
